My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toby!! He is a 2 year old 16 pound silver and gray Lhasa Apso or Shih Tzu. Toby ended up at animal control for reasons we don't understand. Toby is the sweetest, gentlest little fellow who will quickly throw himself on the ground, tummy up to ask for a belly rub. He is house broken and loves his soft toys and antlers.

Whoever owned him before apparently didn't protect him from the risk of heartworm disease in dogs, because Toby came infected with heartworms. He has been treated and is on the road to recovery. Heartworm disease is spread by mosquito bites, and only one bite is needed infect a dog.

Toby also has a minor condition called collapsed trachea, which means he should never wear a collar--only a harness for this boy, so that there is no tugging on his throat.

Toby has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
