Meet our newest rescue, Kingsley! He was found in Southington all beat up, dirty, and with multiple cuts. We noticed he had an ear tip, which meant someone trapped him, neutered him and put him back outside, as if he was feral. However, we aren't sure why, as this boy is the sweetest boy ever! He just loves to be loved. He even loves dogs! No cats at this time though! Kingsley also is FIV positive, however, cats with this immune system issue can live just as long as any other cat. Please give this boy the chance he never had!

**Come me at Petco in Southington any day and you will see just how sweet I am!**

About Fur-Gotten Tails Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Fur-Gotten Tails Animal Rescue was formed to focus on saving animals from kill shelters who have been there for a very long time and placing them in loving foster homes to learn how to be a loved pet again. We also are activate with trap-neuter-release for feral cats, as well as taking in owner surrenders when we can. As a newer rescue, we are always in need of donations, fosters and volunteers. Any help is much needed!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our animals are located in foster homes. Meet and greets occur at the fosters home. We also participate in adoption events when we can.

Our Adoption Process...

If interested in adopting one of our available animals, please send us an email to to obtain our adoption application.

After a meet and greet and the decision to proceed with adoption is decided, the foster will bring your new pet directly to your home to conduct a home visit and finalize the adoption.

All our animals are fully vetted as far as they can be before adoption (Exam, Shots, FIV/FeLV Testing, Deworming & Spay/Neuter). Young kittens aren't fixed until around 5/6 months old. When a young kitten is adopted, he/she is brought to the clinic by the adopter at the appropriate age and the surgery is paid for by Fur-Gotten Tails.

Our adoption fees are in place in order to keep our organization running and to help the next animal in need. We rely solely on donations and do not receive any public funding. Our current fees are as follows (Although we do run promotion programs regularly):

Kittens (Kitten - 6 months): $175
Older Kittens (6 months - 1 year): $150
Adults (1 year and older): $125
Special Breeds: TBD

If not spayed/neutered before adoption (younger kittens), $50 of adoption donation is specifically used for this at appropriate age.
