Butterscotch's Story...
Sweet senior Butterscotch is looking to be someone's forever princess! Now you know a dog that lets us dress her up and take photos has one great personality. :-) Butterscotch is a gentle, mellow lady who wants nothing more than to hang out in your lap. She's a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she follows you around wagging her tail. If anyone out there is looking for a calm little companion dog, Butterscotch is the one for you!

Butterscotch has done great with her kennel mates in the past, both big and small. Bring your dog from home in and staff can help you with a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along prior to adopting.

9 yr old Butterscotch is located in D building at the West Valley Animal Care Center in Phx (2500 S. 27th Ave.). Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Her $20 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butterscotch, a Phoenix Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
