Lima Bean's Story...
Lima Bean's Story...
Lima Bean has been described as a total love muffin with a great personality! She is 1 year old and 30 lbs. She is good with other dogs and will be moving to doggie daycare on 10/5. She has been given full vet care after we took her from a dog pound. We are so glad we saved this gem of a girl. Adoption fee 150.00 - UPDATE 11/15: Lima Bean has been going thru some obedience training and doing well overall. She is a mischievous girl who will get into trouble if she is bored or you allow her too much freedom but she is learning all about good house manners and appropriate behavior. A fenced in yard and doggie playmate would be best for this girl. Plus she is cute as a button!!
We operate out of Avon, Ohio. We primarily rescue dogs from the Lorain County Dog Kennel and other Dog Pounds before they are put to sleep. We secondarily assist with taking in homeless stray dogs and funding the spay/neuter of homeless dogs and cats for other independent local rescuers and vet clinics who take them in off the street and work to rehome them. Lastly, we provide and fund the transportation for all adopted dogs going to vet clinics for the Mandatory Spay & Neuter Program at the Lorain County Dog Kennel.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a shelter. Our rescued animals are kept in foster homes or boarding facilities primarily on the west side of Cleveland until loving forever homes can be found. Please remember we are all VOLUNTEERS who work full-time jobs. We will do our best to return your emails/calls within 24 hours.
Our Adoption Process...
If you wish to adopt one of our great pets, go to our website at www.fidoscompanion.com and submit an application on our adoption page. Once your application is submitted and approved, we can set up a time for you to meet the dog(s) you are interested in. We do not operate on a first come, first serve basis. We strive to find the most compatible home for our dogs and look for adopters who are certain they want to make a lifetime commitment to our rescued dogs. We also require a home visit as a part of our adoption process. If we do not have an animal that interests you, we may be able to help put you in contact with the many other organizations with which we network. ADOPTION FEES - Individual fees apply based on each dog rescued. See individual dog's bio for adoption fees that apply.
