My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The consummate Collie!

Remi is a beautiful tri-color rough coat Collie.  He is 7 years old, weighs 60 pounds, is perfectly healthy and current on all his shots.  He is also neutered, micro-chipped, and house trained.  Though he is larger than each of them Remi gets along very well with our pack of four various sized dogs.

However, he does not care for cats.

Remi is the consummate Collie, having a textbook-perfect Collie demeanor.  He truly is a dream dog, if ever there was one. Amazingly quiet, obedient and well mannered, he loves being pampered... but then what cuddler doesn't?

Truth be told Remi will gladly go with you whenever and wherever you go.  He enjoys play time, games of "Chase" being a favorite outdoors activity.

He especially enjoys going on walks... preferably in the cool early morning hours.  Actually, long meandering strolls is a better description.  Afterall, as far as he's concerned there's no rush?  He is so relaxed while out strolling that he never pulls you along and will likely never stretch the leash because he is happiest by your side.  Nor does he fret over traffic, people, or any critters, large or small, that may cross his path.  In short, it is truly a delight to walk with him.

Lastly, Remi also has a beautiful, strong baritone voice. It caught his foster family by surprise because he is not a big talker. But it definitely turns your head when you hear it.

Happy, healthy, alert, smart and cuddly! Not bad!

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
