My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peace will be at adoption event this Sunday October 9 at
Guilford Fairground
From 10-4pm
Let peace begin with me Let this be the moment now. With every step i take Let this be my solemn vow. To take each moment And live each moment With peace eternally. Let there be peace on earth, And let it begin with me. -from 'Let There Be Peace On Earth' written my Jill Jackson Miller and Sy Miller 1955
As it just so happens there IS Peace on Earth...our pup Peace is on and of this Earth. Peace is a beautiful 10 month old Chocolate Lab mix who currently weighs just under 45 lbs. We believe she will end up being around 50 lbs full grown. Peace is a very pleasant and intelligent youngster, already house and crate trained. She is pretty good on leash, but in typical labby fashion she tends to pull when something grabs her attention. She is wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs. Her foster mom says she loves to always be in the company of her humans or a playmate. She would do best in a home with another fur sibling to play with and a family willing to give her the daily exercise she needs. Peace is a silly goofy girl who will run to a loved one and roll over on her belly, followed by lots of paw movements just to elicit a belly rub (after all that work give the kid some love!). She likes doing all the typical puppy things like running, playing, and chewing on toys. If it's fun, new, exciting, or adventurous...she's all in if you are! We believe with some additional training she would make a great running partner. She may even like to go swimming, we are not sure, but it could be fun to find out. Peace is eager to please and wants to learn so it's just a matter of how much time and effort will be devoted to her training. She's already off to a good start and will impress you with her pretty 'sit'. We can tell you that she is a good travel companion. She had occasion to travel hundreds of miles away to what was supposed to be her journey home. Sadly, without ever even meeting her, she was returned to rescue d her foster mom because they changed their minds based on her age and size. Needless to say, Peace has already been given the run around but somehow took it all in stride like an adventure. Peace is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She is deserving of a family who will live each moment with Peace eternally. So here is what we want to know...will you let Peace begin with you, let this be the moment now? Will you take that solemn vow to love her and keep her forever?
