This is Grizzly he is heart worm positive, has cataracts (to the point of blindness) and glaucoma. When we got him out of the shelter he was very very sick not only with a respiratory infection but a raging urinary track infection as well. After strong antibiotics and the care of a loving foster mom he is feeling much better.
Even though we are working through some of his medical issues still we are going against protocol and looking for a home that would like to foster to adopt Grizzly. We just feel the sooner we get him in a forever home he is going to thrive. So basically we will still be covering his medical cost for the near future. As of right now the only long term care an adopter would be responsible for down the road is just eye drops that he needs daily.
Grizzly is a sweet boy and despite being blind gets around good once he knows his surroundings. He is dog friendly as well. Our ideal home for Grizzly would be someone that is not away from home long hours and a semi quiet home.
