My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy, a 35-40 lb. Lab and Dachshund mix resembles what some might call a “pocket” yellow lab--Daisy has all of the features of a standard sized yellow lab, but she packs them in a munchkin sized body; Daisy is like a compact SUV--she has great traction, can turn on a dime, and accelerates smoothly for outdoor adventures, but she also shifts easily into low gear for cozy snuggles on the couch. When volunteers Jim and Janet borrowed Daisy for an overnight, Janet wrote: “Daisy loves other dogs and loved our cat. And she is crate trained also and we had no destructive issues with her. She is a love!!” Before she turned a year old, Daisy lived in a pen with her 2 siblings; the 3 pups had little or no socialization and now Daisy is very shy. The person or family who is drawn to Daisy will have to win her over in time; Daisy needs gentle encouragement; she does not bond quickly with people, but if you are willing and able to make that investment, you will be rewarded beyond measure with the treasure of Daisy’s heart.
