Schmoopy's Story...
Meet Shmoopy, a loveable and handsome long haired chihuahua mix! His sweet little face will instantly steal your heart. Shmoopy is currently in foster care with a larger dog and three cats and gets along great with all of them. He is a low-energy dog that enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood and long naps in front of the television. Although Shmoopy is perfectly content with hanging out by himself while you are away or busy around the house, he will also gladly hop in your lap for some snuggles if you invite him up. His small size and easy-going demeanor makes him an ideal pet for either an apartment or a house. Bonus - he is house trained and currently practicing his leash walking skills! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Schmoopy, a New Orleans Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
