"Susie Belle" is a lovely one-year old female Calico kitty who arrived at the HSOV on September 9, 2016 when our Humane Officer picked her up in the City of Marietta Ohio. "Susie Belle" has a black/orange/white short smooth coat in a Calico pattern, a long tail, and a beautiful face with a pink nose and large green/gold eyes. She is one of the sweetest kitties that you could ever hope to meet :) "Susie Belle" begins to purr the moment you open the door of her cage, and she loves to be loved :) She was in need of extra TLC when she entered our shelter and had a severe flea allergy, but she always maintained her sweet, lovable personality. "Susie Belle" is very petite and weighs just 4.8 lbs. She was given vaccinations and wormer on September 9, 2016. One of our kennel techs (Michelle Rudd) (who has cared for thousands of shelter cats) during her career confided that "Susie Belle" (whom she calls "Sugar Belle") has literally stolen her heart and is the one cat she cannot forget when she goes home each evening. And that is a phenomenal endorsement for "Susie Belle" indeed!! It was Michelle who combo tested "Susie Belle" on September 22, 2016 and discovered that she tested positive for feline leukemia :( This news broke not only Michelle's heart but also the other kennel techs and volunteers who love "Susie Belle". We are asking (make that begging) for a rescue or an adopter who would be willing to give "Susie Belle" the best home possible. We will have "Susie Belle" spayed before leaving the shelter. Rescue groups may also contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We will help with transportation for this special kitty. "Susie Belle" was spayed on October 19, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.
