ROSCOE's Story...
This sleek and shiny beauty is 1.5 year old, 49 pound Roscoe. This handsome boy is very nice and well behaved. He's a little shy but who can blame him as the shelter can be an overwhelming environment to so many dogs, especially those that have been a beloved pet in a nice stable home. Roscoe wandered too far from his home, got lost, and came to the shelter on 9/23. He is currently available for adoption. Roscoe is up to date with shots and neutered. He will be micro-chipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. Roscoe is in Run 86 and his ID is 589190.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROSCOE, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
