Nessa's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Nessa's Story...
Nessa is a high energy, very loving, red and white Border Collie mix. She is about 1-year-old and weighs 34 lbs. She is very active and loves to run and explore. She needs an owner who will be very active with her for at least an hour daily and a fenced in yard with no gaps/holes. She is shy of new dogs and people at first, but once she opens up she loves playing with other dogs and she is super friendly and loving. She is attention-focused and will do anything for a pet or cuddle. She is house trained and crate trained. She “talks” to communicate when it is time to eat or go outside, but doesn’t bark unless my other BC barks. She can chew inappropriately if she gets bored and I am unable to walk her.

She is up-to-date on all her shots and is spayed. Due to Nessa’s personality and high energy level, she would not do well in a home with small children or elderly as she can use her paws and/or bodyweight to get attention.

For more information please email wcarte10@vols.utk.edu
Her asking adoption fee is $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nessa, a Oliver Springs Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Oliver Springs, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Oliver Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oliver Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oliver Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oliver Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
