I was given Mona Lisa when she was 6 months by a co-worker of my mom who could not keep her because of living conditions. She is a great companion dog and is registered as an emotional support animal. She gets along well with other dogs and older kids. I am looking for a new home for her because I recently had a baby. I have tried all the tips and techniques to make it a safe and friendly environment for baby and Mona. But Mona is jealous and as baby gets older she is more mobile and it is getting harder to keep up with both. I don’t have the time to or the space so she can run and get the exercise she needs. Mona Lisa is a very sweet dog and deserves the time and attention of a loving owner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona Lisa, a Houston Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
