Lucy's Story...
Hi! I am Lucy. I am a beautiful 2 year old yellow gal. Before being rescued I was a backyard dog. That being said, I am learning lots of new things in my foster home like sit, stay, down, and how to walk on a leash. I need more training and a patient family that will dedicate time to working with me. My foster mom says that I am a good girl in the house, I have not had any accidents, climbed on the furniture, or made any messes! I get along great with my foster brother who is a 12 year lab mix and the kitty cat. I love to be around my people and give them love.

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
