Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tango is a 7 month old pure-bred Malinios, a working level herding dog. He is being re-homed through our group for a woman who tried very hard to be his owner but she did not have the knowledge or matching temperament to do the job. Kudos to her for trying many months, and seeking trainers to help. His breed is high energy, demanding and needs close supervision. He must go to a home with someone who has expert handling of a dog like Tango. He has strong protective/guarding instincts and needs a strong handler with experience with this breed specifically.
He will only be adopted to a home with a yard and someone who has a lot of time to give to him. No couch potatoes for this guy!
He is high energy, high drive and extremely intelligent. This makes placing him a difficult task but one that is not going to be taken lightly.
If you are interested, have the background and are willing to make trips out to see him and work with him at the trainers home in San Antonio, then please apply.
UPDATE:
now crate trained
Does fine in crate with new guests in home, still working on people approaching him...that's where you see his guarding behavior
Super sweet with one on one person interaction
Not tested with small dogs but has high prey and hunt drive, so maybe not good ...
more training needed and coming soon...will be with trainer for a few more months
