Echo has very quickly earned her “Queen Bee” nickname in her foster home. She’s full of sass and is a lot of fun to be around. She’s a young Applehead Chihuahua – we’re guessing her age is between 3 and 5-years-old. Echo tips the scales at just 4.7 pounds, so she’s very tiny! Echo will “accept” the notion of other animals around her, but she’ll growl and bark at them (and even sometimes playfully chase cats), but she absolutely prefers to be, as her nickname states, the Queen Bee. Echo is completely uncomfortable around children that she’s unfamiliar house, so a home without them would be best for her.

This pint-sized beauty has been working hard in her foster home. Echo’s already housetrained and can impress you with her jump height! She’s in the process of learning her basic commands and is learning how to be more relaxed at mealtime. Echo knows her name when you call her and she’s happy to impress those that will lavish her with attention. She needs a forever family that is willing to continue working with her to build her confidence and sense of self.

A home where she can be the centre of attention will be best for Echo. Snuggles, belly scratches, and lots of attention are the way to her heart. She loves to play with her foster “pawrents” and enjoys impressing them with her blanket fort-building skills. Once you’ve won Echo over, she’ll be your sweet, lovely girl for life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Echo, a Kamloops Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Kamloops, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Kamloops.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kamloops already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kamloops breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kamloops paves the way for another one to be saved.
