DAX's Story...
Daiquiri (Dax) is an almost 2 year old rotti/boxer mix, for her size she has a lot of love to give! She is living with 4 other dogs and has been introduced to a cat. She listens to commands very well, and has a few tricks that she loves to show off for praise or a tasty treat. She walks well on leash but also has good off-leash recall. Dax came from a shelter in Quebec so not much is known about her history, but she does seem to bond to people quickly and become protective of them. For this reason Dax should be the only dog, she may warm up to other dogs given enough time, but without knowing what her living situation was before she came into foster care precautions should be made. She is a very sweet dog, given plenty of love and structure she will make an excellent companion for some lucky person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAX, a Peterborough Rottweiler/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Boxer for sale in Peterborough, or seeking a Rottweiler/Boxer dog from a breeder in Peterborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peterborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peterborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Boxer breeders who help with Rottweiler/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peterborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
