Sheldon's Story...
Sheldon, what can we say? He's GREAT! He is fun, affectionate, loves to sit on a lap and plays well with other cats. He is especially attached to Marvin, who is another fun, affectionate, lap cat. Sheldon is a little more outgoing than Marvin. Sheldon is inquisitive, always interested in what you are doing and drools whenever he gets what he wants, which is lots of attention. He and Marvin will play, wrestle and chase each other till the cows come home. Please take a closer look at Sheldon and Marvin. We think two cats are better than one because you can count on having two cats in two laps at the same time. Sheldon and Marvin are located at one of SOSCAT's foster homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheldon, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
