Big news! Handsome Stanley is ready to find his furever home! He came to Ozzies Pound Puppies as a stray dog from the shelter in February, with over 50% of his fur missing, a horrible skin-infection and weighing only 13lbs. It was a long road to his recovery but he is now 100%. He has gained 5lbs. and has been off all meds for over a month now. Stanley will always need some maintenance and checkups. He is currently on the dry prescription Z/D diet for Skin/Food Sensitivities, but we suspect that he does not have food-allergies. He is crazy about tomatoes, strawberries and carrots! Stanley loves people and kids; he loves to cuddle on your lap. He prefers female dog companions but would also be fine as the only-dog. He is great on walks but also likes to be a couch-potato. Stanley is a terrier-mix, approximately 4 years old, weighing 18lbs. He is neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Fostered in Livermore, CA. About Ozzies Pound Puppies

About Our Rescue Group...

Ozzies Pound Puppies is an all breed dog rescue based in Concord, CA. Our volunteers are committed to rescuing unwanted and abandoned dogs from the public and from shelters. Ozzies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives no government funds. You can help make a difference for a shelter dog by fostering, adopting, volunteering or donating.

Every day, hundreds of dogs are euthanized in shelters across the nation. City and county shelters are overrun with stray and surrendered dogs and have run out of space, this is why they have to euthanize dogs. Dogs are only given a short time to be adopted and then they get put down. Our Rescue will take in dogs that have run out of time at the shelter and find homes for them, thus freeing up shelter space and finding adoptable dogs a new family.

Our Adoption Process...

All dogs adopted are up to date on shots, dewormed, microchipped and fixed. We will assist in introductions to other family members, both human and furry ones. Our adoption fee is $275.
