Chopper (Guest)'s Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Chopper (Guest)'s Story...
Chopper is a black and tan male GSD, about 8 years old. He was taken in by a good Samaritan from a neglectful situation, he lived outside and his people did not pay attention to him. She can no longer keep him. Her current male dog does not like Chopper, and they have to be kept separated. His owner can keep him temporarily, until a new home is found.

Chopper gets along with dogs, except for the male in the home, who is dominant. He could also do well as an only dog or with a submissive female dog. He has not been around cats, so we do not know how he'd do. He is friendly to people, but has not lived with children.

Chopper has had some digestive issues but they are under control, with medication, according to his owner. He is otherwise healthy and up to date with vet care. He is neutered. His owner can provide vet records.

Chopper would do best in a moderately or less active home, he is loving and quiet, and likes to be with his people and lay down for most of the day. He does have some anxiety when his owner is gone. He is housebroken, crate trained, and can walk on a leash.

If you'd like to meet Chopper, please contact his owner directly at mmariettadavis@gmail.com or 678.787.2336.

GSDRGA has not met Chopper, he is not our foster dog. We are guest listing him. Please contact his owner to ask questions, or set up a meeting.

Thanks for rescuing!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chopper (Guest), a Roswell German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Roswell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
