Bones-URGENT's Story...
Dead Dogs Walking Tennessee, Inc. has pledged to help clear some of the beautiful hounds at a rural East Tennessee kill shelter . Not by euthanizing, but by adoption.
Bones is a beautiful purebred redbone coonhound.
5 yrs
House trained
Good with dogs
Fully vetted
Laid back personality

Most of these dogs were brought in as strays so little is known about their past. The shelter supervisor does her best to evaluate each dog to help place them in the right home. Hounds typically are not good apartment dogs. They require room to run and must have a fenced yard as their noses tend to rule! They have wonderful personalities and are loyal and appreciative of any affection given.

We want these dogs to be part of a family as an inside dog, not living on a chain or in a pen with a pack of other hunting dogs.

Please help us save a life! Adoption fees range from $200-250. The dog will be spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heart worm tested , wormed and microchipped.
We work with several different transports that bring dogs to New England every weekend. That rate is $140.00.

Here is a link to their adoption application. Then click on the link "apply to adopt online ".

It will be transmitted to the shelter and the director will contact you ASAP.
Feel free to email should you have questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bones-URGENT, a Providence Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Providence, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
