Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky has had a hard start to life. He was given up when his family became homeless after Hurricane Sandy. Then he thought his luck changed when he went to a new home. One chilly winter day, Rocky went out to play. When he didn’t return 20 minutes later, his owner went into the yard to look for him. Rocky was found lying on the ground, unable to move and in shock. It was clear that he was paralyzed.
Rocky’s owners were unable to make the financial commitment to his care, so they decided that the best course of action was to bring him back to Bobbi and the Strays. He was carried in, in a laundry basket because his owners were afraid of injuring him even more. Rocky was immediately vetted and placed in a loving foster home. He is flourishing with the ongoing vet care and love he is receiving.
Rocky is a sweet, special needs dog who requires the love and patience of an owner who is willing to take on the commitment of guiding him through his road to recovery. Rocky continues to require assistance toileting as well as physical therapy exercises performed every day.
