Winston in San Antonio's Story...
Winston is a precious two year old JAck Russell Terrier. He knows many commands and is well trained. This sweet boy is very smart and extremely energetic. He is a perfect example of the breed! He loves people and is very friendly. All his vet work has been done and he is super healthy and neutered.
The best home for Winston will be with someone who is familiar with the temperament of a JRT. If you have never had one before he is not the dog for you. Like all JRTs, he needs attention and it would be great if he could be with someone who maybe works home some of the time.
No cats. No kids. No male dogs. No placing out of state.
Please fill out the online application on www.russellrescue.com. Adoption fee is 200 dollars. Vet check and home visit are mandatory. Contact jolleyjames@sbcglobal.net. Please visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TexasRussellRescueInc

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston in San Antonio, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
