Colby's Story...
Colby is an adult neutered male tabby who was probably born in the Spring of 2015. He was found as a stray and picked up by the Billerica Animal Control in June 2016. When he was found, he had 'wounds of unknown origin' on his front and back paws so he had to be in quarantine for 4 months. He is now ready to find his forever family. Colby has a lot of energy. He likes to play with his toys and the other cats. He is very nosy and will explore any closet or cabinet. When he finally wears himself out, Colby likes to curl up next to you. He is up to date with all shots. He gets along with cats, dogs and kids. Please make Colby a part of your family – he’ll bring you lots of love.
Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at www.billericacatcarecoalition.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colby, a N. Billerica Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in N. Billerica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in N. Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in N. Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a N. Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in N. Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
