My story

"Hello, my friends. My name is MADDIE, and I'm ready to start my new life. I'm a four-year-old large terrier mix female who promises to be your loving companion. I'm doing my best to adjust to life here at the shelter, but it's hard to be alone so much in my kennel. When the staff and volunteers take me out to the play yard, I really just want to snuggle. I'll sniff around for a bit, and maybe even chase after a ball, but my true happiness comes from being near a nice person. If you're looking for a dog that will be an absolutely devoted friend, then I'm your girl. I'd be a good family pet, and I get along well with other dogs. My ideal home is one where I'm not left alone for long periods of time, as I feel much better when somebody is with me. I've already been house trained and spayed, so I'm ready to be a part of your family. Won't you please come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter? I tend to retreat to the back of my kennel when strangers come by, so please understand that I'm very affectionate once I know you. Let's go out to the nice play yard that they have here, then maybe you'll choose ME and give me the loving home that I truly deserve. Love, Maddie"
