Facts about Abigail

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Medium
DOB November 11, 2009.

Abigail is a gorgeous female tabby, with bright green eyes. Abigail is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. Once she has figured out that indeed she is in her forever home, she loves to be picked up and cuddled for belly rubs as she purrs you a loving hello at the end of your day. Happy to lie beside you, or explore the house, her favourite game is chasing treats. She has a quiet meow, but is chatty when she wants more treats or pets she will grab your heart and hold it - she is the perfect blend of dog and cat! She is a talker and "asks" for more pets when she wants more. She has the funniest, loudest purr ever!! She currently lives in a foster home with two big dogs and three small children and is great with all of them... in fact she has been known to be found cuddling with the kids and grooming one of the dogs. She would do best in a home looking for a cat that loves her cuddles and her space. She is used to fairly regular activity at home, but is also known to "nap it out" during the day with enthusiasm! She really is a beautiful soul, with a loving heart and amazing personality. She has truly been a gift in my world.

Abigail is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Anastasia directly:

About Toronto Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our mission is to rescue and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats from situations of abuse, neglect or imminent euthanasia.

Our vision is for Toronto to be a city in which no adoptable cat is killed and rescue organizations such as Toronto Cat Rescue are no longer needed.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email adopt@torontocatrescue.ca.

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note:

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

2. Our adoption fee for a bonded pair is $100 per cat, vs. $175 per cat.
