Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sky is a new arrival here, having been turned in to an upstate animal shelter by people who had gotten him from a friend but then figuring out that they didn't want him. He was kept outside alone all the time, not trained, not vaccinated; basically, he was lucky to leave an environment where he was not wanted. We like him a lot! He seems to be a big goofball who needs leash and other obedience work, but he's affectionate and attentive, and we think he'll make a good pet. Sky is only a year old, so he has plenty of time to learn. We'll be learning more about his dog-socialness in the coming week or so. Sky needs an owner that fully understands the needs and responsibilities of white Dobies. He needs to be an indoor dog and ourdoor activity should be relatively limited to protect his eyes and skin. His eyes could be very sensitive to bright light so doggles (doggie sunglasses) should be used when outdoors. White Dobies are also prone to skin cancer so he may require regular vet visits to remove small melanomas as they pop up to prevent the spread of cancer.
