Becka was going to be put to sleep - her time was up! That's when the shelter reached out to us for help. We got her spayed, got her hernia fixed and the birth defect in her uterus fixed that will not cause her any problems in the future. She needed a special spay because she was born with an extremely rare birth defect in her eye called dermoid where hair grows out of her eye. We have Becka on meds for that but her eye is fine, it doesn't effect her vision. She has also been groomed. Becka is shy at first but is slowly coming around. She is being fostered with teenagers, goats, cats, horses & other dogs, and is falling in love with her foster family. Her foster family says, "She is such a lover and is so sweet ! She barks a bit at the cats, mostly ignores them, but doesn't bark at anything else, and stands her ground when big Bailey tries to eat her food. She starts running around all crazy and it's so funny. We are working at potty training her. She sleeps with us every night. You can tell she's happy. I think she would do good with a dog companion during the day. Size of dog doesn't matter to her. "
