Oliver's Story...
Welcome Oliver! Some stray dogs are luckier than others and this one year old, 55 lb., lab mix named Oliver picked a wonderful Good Samaritan in his time of need. His kind finder got him all set with vaccinations, a microchip, neutered - and even had him tested for heartworms - negative - yay! His foster Mom has 3 large male dogs and Oliver gets along great with all of them. We think Oliver would be happiest in a home with a confident doggy sibling as he seems to follow their lead in his foster home. He also likes to follow his nose (he's part hound after all) so a securely fenced yard is needed. There are no cats in his foster home, so we don't know how he'd be with them. Oliver will need some training but he's a quick learner and he already excels in one area - giving KISSES! He sits quietly with his foster brothers when the treats are handed out - what good manners! He jumps up a little when he is excited, so a home with older children might be best, although as we all know, a little training would be all that's needed to curb it. Oliver is available for adoption on the east or west coast. Contact me for an application.

Act quickly to adopt Oliver. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Denver Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
