Rocky's Story...

Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Please read our eligibility requirements and apply on our website: www.ildoberescue.com/adopt. After application is submitted, additional inquiries can email dobes@ildoberescue.com

Rocky is a very handsome 1.5 year old red boy. He was surrendered to a high volume shelter when his owners decided they didn’t have enough time for him. According to his relinquishment paperwork, he is be housebroken and also said to ride nicely in the car. The paperwork also says he likes women, men, and gets along with children also. He will probably be okay with dogs after a slow intro but has not been mingled yet. He has just arrived to us so we will update his bio as we get to know him. Email dobes@ildoberescue.com if you think Rocky might be your match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Barrington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Barrington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Barrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
