Leon's Story...
What a guy. You don't see many hounds like Leon. For one thing, he's on the small side for a guy. On the other he has a Roman nose. Seriously. It doesn't show in this pix but in profile (see blog), his nose is very short and kind of humped and he has an underbite, so his canines stick out like tusks. Honest! He's a sweet fellow, easy going. Maybe too smart for his own good as he's already knocked the baby gate down a couple of times and hopped up on the sofa and flopped over like he's the Lord of the Manner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leon, a Nashville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
