Meet Gelato! She's an outgoing, active, and playful 2 year old Catahoula mix. Gelato was rescued while pregnant and was a great mama to her babies. Her babies are now grown and she's ready to find the perfect home of her own. She's currently being fostered in AL, but is ready to travel north to RI. Gelato is house- and crate-trained. She is a talker and has lots of energy, so she'll do best becoming the member of an active family. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. Please visit the following link for adoption information if you are interested in sweet Gelato: http://www.northboundpoundpuppies.org/adoption. Her adoption fee is $375.
Northbound Pound Puppies is a small non-profit organization started in the winter of 2013 by two girls who really love dogs! From Alabama to Rhode Island we have teamed up to help find homes up north for those forgotten southern puppies. As a rescue our primary goal is to facilitate adoptions of homeless dogs into perfect and loving forever homes. We are not breed specific and have quite a variety that comes though our rescue!
Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the adoption process is fill out our online application: http://jotform.us/form/33535710679157
Your application will then be reviewed by a volunteer and references will be checked. A volunteer will call you to discuss your application, please allow several days for this.
If the application and references meet our adoption criteria you will be contacted to schedule a home visit.
Once the home visit is complete than we can begin to discuss adopting the perfect dog to fit your home!
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Northbound Pound Puppies - RI Chapter.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
