Meet Shamus… Our Shy Guy!

Shamus is a 3-year-old Scottish Terrier mix that was turned in to the East Valley animal shelter after a life time of neglect. Our rescue group was doing an event at the shelter where we brought in mobile groomers to help make the shelter dogs ready for adoption. We saw poor Shamus in the back of the kennel horribly matted and knew he would be a great makeover! After all that fur was cut off there was a gorgeous little boy underneath. Because he is so shy we knew he needed the help of a rescue group to help teach him confidence. We’ve been working with a dog trainer to help him come out of his shell. Even though he’s scared he’s got a gentle personality.
He will do best in a mellow adult home.
He likes the company of other small animals and is learning to play. It’s made our hearts smile to watch Shamus blossom and start to learn to trust again.

Shamus is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccines.
