Moe's Story...
Meet MOE! We were actually trying to get Moe's kennel mate out for pictures when he rushed past us, ran straight to the door and said "me too, please!" How could we say no to that face?! We're super glad Moe took it upon himself to get our attention, because we had a blast getting to know him. We were surprised to see he was a longtimer (he's been at our shelter over 30 days); how has no one noticed this super cool looking, friendly dog yet?!

After that initial burst of energy, Moe settled down pretty quickly and walked great on the leash. He is very smart and was happy to show off "sit," "shake" and "down" for a treat (okay, lots of treats haha). Moe is a friendly guy who loves attention from his human friends. He does well with his kennel mate and would love to meet your dog from home. Bring them in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along prior to adopting.

You can visit 3 yr old Moe in C building at our West Valley Animal Care Center at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Moe's $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moe, a Phoenix Catahoula Leopard Dog/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Akita for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Akita dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Akita breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
