Lea's Story...
My name is Lea and I have had a rough time of it lately...... I have been all over town searching for something to eat. When you are my size, about the only food I can get is if someone drops something on the ground...YUCK!! I tried to find someone to take me home.........it was so very hot and rainy.........but they just walked around me. I was really scared because there
were so many cars and trucks traveling in and out of the parking lot that I don't think that they even saw me. Then one day a lady walked over and picked me up.........I wasn't sure what to expect. This may not be a good thing. She put me in her car and before I knew it, I was getting my matted hair cut (can you believe my hair was over a foot long? ) Then I got the fleas washed away. Wow did that feel good.......no more itching.....those fleas are mean!!
Now I am in a foster home and I am very comfortable....unfortunately my foster already has a full house, so she is looking for a foster or forever home for me. I sure hope that it is a good one! Tax exempt donation of $350 spayed

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lea, a Columbus Maltese/Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Chinese Crested for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Maltese/Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Chinese Crested breeders who help with Maltese/Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
