Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jasper is on the small side, a very puppyish Dobie boy in his behavior, though he's probably almost 2 years old. He's playful and dog-social, even living in the same kennel with another male Dobie. We would expect Jasper to be tolerant enough to live with kids, as he seems to enjoy play and would be fun for a family. Jasper came to us with an old, healed fracture in a front leg that his previous owner did not fix. Our vet says that it could be rebroken and set, but that wouldn't guarantee a better outcome than
leaving it alone. He can be put on Rimadyl or other medication later in his life if the leg eventually bothers him, or it could be amputated. Jasper uses all four legs at present but he probably would not be the ideal companion for jogging or trail hikes.
