Yuma's Story...
This is a Lytle assist for KARE. Meet Yuma!
Yuma is a gorgeous large breed mix, likely Labrador and Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is 3 years old and 65 pounds of pure love! She also happens to be blind, but it's almost like no one told her that! She LOVES to explore and she gallops around with no hesitation. Watching her make a beeline towards you when you call her name is something to see. She is truly amazing!
Aside from being blind, she is perfectly healthy. She has no problems with her eyes and will not need any ongoing care for them. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and parasite-free. She is super smart, wants to please and loves treats so she's a dream to train and picks up tricks very quickly. She is completely housetrained and has good manners. She is friendly with other dogs. She is incredibly loving, sweet and friendly with everyone she meets.
Caring for a blind dog is so easy and such a rewarding experience. Yuma is a special girl and will make her new family tremendously happy! Contact me for an application.

Act quickly to adopt Yuma. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yuma, a Denver Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
