Winston's Story...
Winston is a four month old rat terrier/ border collie mix puppy who came to rescue when an Amish puppy mill no longer wanted him as he was no longer a “puppy.” He weighs 18 pounds and is a little timid and shy at first but warms up once he knows you won't hurt him. Winston is enjoying living in a home instead of a cage and loves to play with toys and other animals. He is currently living with other dogs and cats in his foster home but would do best in a home with dogs and cats that don't mind a playful puppy that is still learning social skills. Winston is learning to walk on a leash, knows sit, and likes to go for car rides. He is doing well with potty training and is starting to scratch at the door when he needs to go outside to go potty. Winston is his foster mom's shadow and loves to jump up in her lap and cuddle. Winston will be neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in meeting him complete an application on our website at www.revolutionrescue.com and we will be in touch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Lincoln Rat Terrier/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
