Dawson's Story...
Dawson is a big tuxedo boy with little white boots. He has medium length silky hair. He is 2 years old.

Dawson has had a rough road the past year. He ended up on his own without a family and lived as a stray under a porch where a family fed him. All he wanted was love and a home but the other cats at the house didn't like him so he was taken to the pound. He is a very sweet fellow who loves to be pet and cuddled. He does fine with the other cats in the house and he is okay with a mellow dog. But after being on his own for so long, he will react defensively if a strange animal runs at him. He is a wonderful guy and needs a home, a loving family, and a safe outside place to hunt but never be abandoned again.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawson, a Kenai Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Kenai, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Kenai.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kenai already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kenai breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kenai paves the way for another one to be saved.
