Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brennan: Handsome Fellow with the 1,000 Watt Smile
9-10-month-old, male, black and tan, German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes, with proper introduction
Good with children: Older preferred
Good with cats: Unknown
Talk about a handsome devil. Brennan is supermodel material. This young guy was found by a good
Samaritan in North Phoenix and brought into a local vet’s office. Of course, we had to bring this
beautiful boy home so we can find him the perfect furever family.
Aside from his stunning black, shiny coat with light tan accents, Brennan is as smart as they come. It
appears as though Brennan had little, if any, previous leash training. But after a bit of a rocky start, only
5 minutes into a walk and our volunteer had him heeling by her side and learning to sit. He’s a very fast
learner. Brennan did seem to react a bit to other dogs during the walk, but when he was properly
introduced to some others at the rescue, he did just fine.
He is a young, strong guy, so he’ll need a strong handler that will be willing to train him. He’s very sweet
and loves to give kisses! And he enjoyed playing with some toys as well. He would benefit from having
another dog to play with, he’s just a puppy after all. With some obedience classes, this boy will be the
complete package, not just another pretty face.
As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our
online application
to get the
approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application! All staff
members are volunteers and aren’t compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and
full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days
to process an application.
