Clairese's Story...
Clairese is more basset hound. She is super cute and snuggly! These pups made it into Lucky Lab Rescue but do not have a bit of lab in them! Their momma (a purebred coonhound) was pregnant and abandon in a crowded shelter. Seeing as how the president of LLR is fond of coonhounds, we agreed to take her. She is so sweet and petite for a coonhound weighing about 45-50lbs. Her puppies appear to be a basset hound mix as some of these pups have stubby legs and some longer. But all are super loving, well socialized and just as adorable as can be. They will be 9-10 weeks at time of adoption and will be available mid October! Gets your apps in! They won't be around long. Please complete an apps and specify what puppy you are interested in. All pups are age appropriately vetted and microchipped.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Basset Hound breeders who help with Coonhound/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
