Tyler's Story...
Tyler (orange tabby, male) was found by a rescuer near a senior community in West Virginia. He was taken in and quickly adapted to living inside. He loves to be held and snuggle and likes to sleep very close to his human. He is often seen playing by himself even though there are several other kittens around. He enjoys larger soft toys that he can chew on and kick. He will play with the ball track, feather wands, and hide in the kitty tent too.

Tyler enjoys being around other kittens and seems to be good friends with Ginger, who came from the same rescuer. Tyler’s favorite activity is snacking though, hence the chubby little belly! His estimated birthday is 6/24/2016.

Tyler can be adopted with his friend Ginger, or separately, as long as there is another active furry friend in the home. He has been very sweet and open to meeting other cats in the foster home without stress.

Tyler is up to date on his vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has been neutered and micro chipped.

Tyler, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
