Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Inga is a beautiful 9.5-year-old purebred German Shepherd. With a soulful sweetness characteristic of her breed, Inga adores people and dogs alike.
Inga came to us after her owner passed away. In his final months, both his physical and mental health sharply declined, and he neglected to feed both himself and Inga. As a result, Inga suffered severe malnourishment. While she is now steadily gaining weight, Inga will likely suffer some after-effects. Additionally, Inga (in typical elderly German Shepherd fashion) has hip dysplasia- though it is well controlled by medications and she is still able to enjoy long walks and backyard time. Otherwise, Inga is in excellent health, and will hopefully be around for several years to come.
Inga will need a home in which someone is able to give her lots of love, lots of love, daily medications and supplements, and daily “neighborhood patrols” (or walks, as non-German-Shepherds refer to them as). She would do best in a home with a yard and with no stairs. While untested with cats, Inga would likely do well with a confident cat.
