We are happy to introduce a lovely lady who will be do well in most homes - Izzy!! Izzy's story did not start out so great as she was an unaltered dog who gave birth to a litter of puppies and then ended up in a shelter. But, Izzy lucked out with ITV stepped up to rescue the family. We knew right away that Izzy was something special! Not only did she take care of her own litter of puppies, but she also nursed a couple orphaned pups who needed her milk. Izzy did it all with the good-natured spirit we have come to know and love. Izzy was a great mom to her pups and the orphaned pups, but now they have all found homes and Izzy is waiting for her happily ever after. Our nurturing and beautiful Shepherd Mix is a lovable bundle of joy. She is currently getting well deserved care in a foster home, but is ready to settle in her own place. Izzy is not just a sweet, good-looking pup. She is also smart! Izzy has already learned some basic commands and has been a very polite houseguest. Our beauty has been doing her potty business outside and obeys the foster house rules. Izzy is comfortable around other dogs, likes cats and loves to watch TV! She is 1 year old and weighs only 42 pounds, so she is a medium sized lady. Our mixed gal is now spayed, so no more litters for Izzy. She is also vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. If you want to show Izzy how important she truly is, please submit an adoption application to ITVrescue.org. She deserves the best care and treatment for the rest of her life. Izzy was a very popular gal when she was here at the rescue raising her litter. Now that she has a loving foster home and no worries, she is finally getting to be the happy-go-lucky gal she should be. Izzy is anxious to play in her forever home and be your loyal forever companion. Don't wait long, or you might miss the pure joy that Izzy truly is!
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.
