Spencer's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Spencer's Story...
Underneath this scared exterior is a tried and true companion. An affectionate, lovable, loyal boy who just takes a little time to trust. Sure, I may take my time warming up, but once I do I am hot hot hot! I would love to find myself a low traffic home, where I can be spoiled and made to feel safe and secure. I do well with other pets, and respectful children 6+. I am even crate trained already and work hard to be on my best behavior. So what do ya say, are willing to take things slow? 6 years old-59lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, reduced-cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spencer, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
