Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Scar's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Scar's Story...
This handsome dude was caught in a trap, no doubt previously living a very hard life on the streets. He is a huge cat at about 14 lbs. He can be a bit moody at times, but he loves to rub in and out of your legs begging for attention. Unfortunately he tested positive for FIV. This isn't a death sentence for him, and he can live with other non FIV kitties (FIV is spread through blood), but it is nonetheless frowned upon and makes it difficult for him to find a home. He is such an incredible good looking cat with golden yellow eyes. He will never have to fend for himself again and will live in the confines of a home and be indoor only. Will you give him a chance?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scar, a McKinney Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
