Uma's Story...
Uma is ready to find her new family! Uma is a petite girl who is about 7 months old, spayed and up to date on her vaccines. The high kill shelter she was dumped at says she's a lab mix, but we see a lot of chihuahua mix features. She's playful & an awesome cuddly lap dog. She's great with other dogs large & small. Uma just received clearance from our vet to be adopted. She came to us with a shoulder injury but the vets( we searched out multiple opinions)have decided performing surgery would have no benefit. She gets around like nothing ever happened! Please consider Uma.

She's a truly special girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Uma, a Smithtown Chihuahua/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Labrador Retriever for sale in Smithtown, or seeking a Chihuahua/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Smithtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chihuahua/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
