Chloe's Story...
Hey there! The name's Chloe, and I have just one question for you. Do you have room in your heart and home for a snuggly hound girl? If so, then I think it's time we met. I'm a sweet, playful girl who can't wait to find her forever home. I enjoy the company of people of all ages, especially if ear rubs are involved! I also love to romp around and play. Soft, squeaky toys are a personal favorite. I'm also a big fan of treats! That food motivation should help a lot as I continue my training and adjust to a new home. Another thing that will help me make that transition is plenty of exercise. As a young hound, I have a ton of energy and it's important that I have productive outlets for that. One great way for me to get my zoomies out is to play with other dogs. I would love a home with a canine companion as playful as I am, or a family who can provide me with plenty of opportunities to socialize with other pups. If you have a dog currently, just talk to the shelter about arranging a time for us to meet. That way we can make sure they aren't overwhelmed by my abundant energy. So what do you say? Ready to see if I'm the best friend you've been searching for? Stop by the shelter today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Harrisonburg Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
