Facts about Shane Fitzgerald Kennedy Cat

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short

7 yr old Shane is in need of a new home because he is not adjusting well to the toddler in the home and is therefore having issues consistently using the litter box. He weighs 20lbs. Here is his story told by his owner: "Shane Fitzgerald Kennedy Cat was born June 5th 2009. I found him outside my aunt's house in December of 2009. I took him to the vet within two days and the vet estimated him to be about 6 months old. I gave him the same birth date as my late mother. Shane is named after JFK :) He has always been a pretty chill cat. He doesn't do a whole lot of running around and doesn't require a whole bunch of attention. He's not a lap-cat, but he does enjoy being brushed. He's a beautiful red tabby with green eyes. He was neutered as a kitten and has had regular vet visits and immunizations since 2009. He is a strictly indoor cat. He has not been outside apart from vet visits since I found him wondering outside in 2009. Door could be wide open and he'd just look. He's also never been around other animals. Shane gets along with older children fine, our daughter was 5 when we got him and is 12 now. I do think younger children make him nervous. Not to be point of being aggressive, he just rushes to get out of their space. Shane is pretty passive, really shy. He hides from strangers and keeps a low profile when we have company. He loves to sleep and sit in the window. He doesn't really climb on things. He gets dry cat food twice a day and appreciates a clean litter box full of SweetScoop. He likes to hide out in quiet places."
