Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meey Ru. She is a female 1.5 year old Coonhound/Great Pyrenees Mix (~85lbs). Ru is a big sweetheart who is sometimes afraid of her own shadow--typical to us big breeds hehe. Ru is a generally relaxed dog, who gets worn out with a long walk or romp at the park. She loves being outside and with other dogs. Her happy place is certainly playing at the dog park and hiking. At home, Ru is gentle and kind, always happy to come smell for a hello and head rub. She currently lives with two cats, and manages to find a way to play with them too. Ru grew up in the shelter and can be a bit skiddish around new people and new situations, but once she warms up, can smell the area, she is as sweet and gentle as they come. She is very comfortable with her family as she knows them now.
We would say she is medium energy. If left on her own and she is bored, she has been known to chew on things. She loves, peanut butter, and any chews she can tear, shake, throw in the air. Ru is completely potty trained, and stays in her crate at home while her family is at work, usually 8 hours. Ru is leash trained, knows basic commands, and is happy to ride in the car for an adventure. True to her breed, she has been known to bark when a taunting squirrel or stray cat catches her eye from our yard. Ru is spayed, up to date on shots, and ready for a furever home!
Ru is a courtesy meaning her family is seeking a new home for her. It is not Ru's fault--her family has had some changes in their lives and are not able to give Ru the time she truly deserves. Her adoption fee is $200.00
